The Many Faces and Questions of Von Willebrand Disease

Born and raised in the rural reaches of Nevada, Amber has a passion for reaching those who might otherwise be lost or forgotten. With this has come a form of resilience which transcends the point most would give up. Her passion and candor brings light and hope to otherwise stigmatized populations such as women with bleeding disorders or sexual health and bleeding disorders.  This passion culminated in the recognition of this work in 2018 when she was selected by the National Hemophilia Foundation as the Humanitarian of the year. In addition to her doctorate she also holds a master’s degree in nursing education. She was one of the first nurse practitioners in the United States to become a principal investigator of several clinical trials. Mostly she is well known for never taking no for an answer when it involves the care of another.
