  • Hope Charities: Provides up to $1,500 for utilities, food, housing, medical expenses, transportation, and more. Hope Charities 
  • National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF): Offers emergency financial assistance and connects individuals with local chapters for additional support. (NBDF)

Spanish Language 

1. Guías Culturales – National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF)

The Guías Culturales program comprises trained Spanish-speaking volunteers who offer culturally sensitive support, education, and advocacy for the Latinx bleeding disorders community. These guides assist families in navigating healthcare systems and accessing resources in their native language. Learn more about Guías Culturales

2. Familia de Sangre Conference

Organized by California's four bleeding disorder foundations, Familia de Sangre is the nation's largest Spanish-language conference dedicated to bleeding disorders. This annual event offers educational sessions, networking opportunities, and support services tailored for Spanish-speaking individuals and families.

3. Sangre Latina – Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA)

Sangre Latina is an initiative by HFA aimed at supporting Hispanic individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders. The program provides educational materials in Spanish, organizes culturally appropriate events, and fosters community engagement. Join Sangre Latina

4. CHES Foundation - Hermanas de Sangre

Provide culturally relevant support for Hispanic women, girls, and people with potential to menstruate with bleeding disorders through a national program. Join Hermanas de Sangre

5. Latino Coalition for a Healthy California (LCHC) 

LCHC is the only statewide organization in California dedicated exclusively to advancing health equity for the Latinx community. They focus on policy advocacy, community engagement, and strategic communications to address health disparities affecting Latinos. Visit LCHC

6. Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center – Napa

Serving the Napa Valley for over 20 years, Puertas Abiertas provides essential services to Latino immigrants, including mental health support, citizenship classes, and "Know Your Rights" workshops. 7. La Raza Community Resource Center – San Francisco

Located in San Francisco, La Raza offers a range of services to Spanish-speaking immigrant families, including legal assistance, family advocacy, and weekly food distribution. Their mission is to bridge the gap between the community and essential resources. La Raza Community Resource Center

8. LatinoNet – Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, Mendocino

LatinoNet is a network of service providers in Humboldt County working collaboratively to address the unique experiences of the Latino community. 9. Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County (CAB) - Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz Counties

CAB provides multilingual services across Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties. Their programs include immigration assistance, housing support, and community advocacy, with staff fluent in Spanish, Mixteco, and Portuguese. California Local

10. Central Coast Language and Learning Center - Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz

Affiliated with the San Andreas Regional Center, this nonprofit serves individuals with developmental disabilities in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties.
